Delayanism

Our first leg of the journey started at Nausori Airport (Thurs 8 May). Our flight was scheduled at 2pm but were told to be there at 1pm when verifying flight conditions at about 12midday. It was a rush to the airport but “delayanism” (new word find of 2008! soon to be added to the Merrier-Webster dictionary) was the order of the day. We didn’t fly out until 3.45pm arriving at Nadi Airport a little after four. Then it was off to Ohana Apartments to refresh. I met an uncle at Nausori Aiport who had some stuff to take over to Nadi and offered a day room at Ohana Apartments which he owns. It was a chance to rest and refresh for the long journey ahead. At 6.45pm, we headed off for Nadi Airport, checked in and went into the departure area. Our flight was due to leave at 10pm but an announcement came through that it will leave 30 minutes later – delayanism has struck again!
